Crystal Shaw
Founder / CEO
Crystal Shaw is a Retired Army Veteran who served in Kosovo, a combat tour in Iraq and is the Founder of The Right Care Project Inc in 2020. She holds an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her passion is changing mindsets and giving second chances to those who have fallen short in direction due to disabilities. This organization aims to provide sustainability to our homeless, disabled veterans. The mission is to provide transitional housing and support services to fight Homelessness. We provide safe housing solutions, stability, mentorship, and life skills to improve quality of life.
Kasandra Cooks-Washington
Director
Kasandra Cooks-Washington is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She brings more than 15 years serves in logistics. Her passion for helping people started while sitting at her kitchen table; she opened her laptop and decided to talk about her abuse on Facebook. Therefore, she began to realize the release from her domestic bondage helped her see the vision of helping others to deal with the same trauma to start over. Kasandra’s leadership as an innovator has been inevitable to our mission on our board to ensure that people suffering from homelessness will have a safe place to learn the steps to regain life skills and have a place to call home. In addition, she is the founder of Voices of the Abused, numerous auxiliaries choirs, and outreach programs with the Women Centered in Christ and youth ministry in Dallas, TX.
Lakenya Diop
Director
Lakenya Diop is a Soldier with over 23 years in the U.S. Army. Throughout her career, she held numerous leadership positions and completed seven deployments. She earned a master’s degree in Business Administration and a Graduate Certification in Logistic Management from American Public University. Lakenya believes “baby steps are still steps.” Her passion is mentoring, giving people a solid foundation, skills, and resources to grow.
